Slumdog Millionaire Tanvi makes her Tamil debut in Sandithen Unnai.

Though, it took a lot of effort on her Uncle’s part to cast this pretty girl as the teenage avatar of Freida Pinto in Slumdog Millionaire, filmmakers don’t need much convincing these days post her Academy Award-winning stint that brought her due recognition for an ‘Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture’ at the 81st Oscar Awards ceremony. 


Continuing in her dream run,these days, Tanvi is busy with the schedules of her upcoming Tamil debut – Sandithen Unnai’ from director Nagamaneci . “She is cast as a minister’s daughter in this project and has a very important role in this movie. Tanvi is a promising talent. I am sure her will to work hard will take her a long way.” remarks the debutante director who has had a stint in ad film making before entering the world of cinema. 



Evidently, Tanvi who is getting a taste of Indian movies has a different approach that what she shared with Hollywood director Danny Boyle. Irrespective of the petty differences in the working style, she says “Being a performer, I don’t think it is a good idea to classify everything by region. After Slumdog Millionaire happened, there have been many offers in Bollywood but I preferred Sandithen Unnai as I could relate to the character very easily.”
